Embeding Video

I don't know if this is the right place to put this but there seems to be a need to know how to embed a video from youtube into the wiki

It's actually quite simple

while in the edit page click the source button on the tool bar in the upper part of the page

you should see a bunch of random characters and only some of them are deciferable

anyway any line on the page will be surrounded by the brakets <p></p>

It is important that these brackets stay on every new line

so if you can find your general position on the page because of the actual text on the page you see in the source you will notice that any "enter" is entered into the source as "<p>   </p>"

to embed a video from youtube you should first go to youtube and find the embed code.  It will be next to the word "Embed" in the video discription.  If the video says "Embed disabled by the request of the User" than embeding is impossible.  However if there is a code that has

<object>random stuff</object> simply copy that code and put it into the source

for example if I wanted the "Evolution of Dance" video below this line the code would look like

<p><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/dMH0bHeiRNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/dMH0bHeiRNg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object></p>

<p>   </p>

and that would put the evolution of dance video below the text.

Sorry if this is unclear

One other helpful and insightful plugin this wiki comes with is the ability to create slideshows.

This is an interesting way to present pictures or knowledge productively without  creating a video.

Here are a few simple instructions:

1.While in the edit page of a wiki, press insert plugin.

2.A popup comes up with options "chat, Video, Pictures" and so on

3.Highlight the pictures, press the slide photoshow button.

4.Go to their website and register/ login

create slideshow.

5.This will than give you a code similar to what Steve wrote above.

6.Copy and past it into the "insert plugin... photo... slide photoshow

This tool is simple enough and creates a unique professional presentation

It appears if you put &nbsp; into the wiki it shows up as a space. this is what is supposed to be in between lines in the code that have nothin on them
