Enzyme Lab 09

Page history last edited by Kristin Jones 14 years, 6 months ago

All lab data goes here! P7 & 9 Create seperate tables and include graphs if you can.

*All*  for the lab write up:

1) Intro & background: discuss enzymes in general- what are they?, what do they do? how do they do it?, (energy diagram, lock & key, collisions, shape etc)

2) What factors effected rate? how do they effect it? (shape or collisions) which were independant, dependant for all 4 factors (general effect- not data specfic yet)

3) Data tables & graphs for each set of data. Be clear & consistant with labels and format. Be aware of how they look on the page! keep table & graph together.  Use both classes of data if you wish but explain what and why you used them or not.  Discussion is limited here to generalities (shape change/collisions) and whether or not it is the expected shape.

4) validity and margin of error

5) conclusion: Discuss how the graph fits the expected model. and what causes the shape (KE, shape, effective collisions, etc)  USE DATA!

um....i hope everyone realizes that we need graphs for the lab so it would be really awesome if each group could put up a graph for their variable!

so, no part 4?

What is he looking for, for a graph? The data we collected and the slopes are for every second and the slope is a hundredth of a decimal... that’s a pain
