12/1/08 Blogging update!!!! Now worth 30 PTS
New rules:
Paragraph 1: Intro with your thesis statement.
Paragraph 2-n : body with embedded CSE citation - (Author, year)
Reference list in CSE fornat.
Any source is OK (for now) including newspapers and websites as long as they are properly formatted and cited.
Comments Get upgraded also.

Add 5 points using (citing) reference in body.
There are two ways to earn points:
1st (25 points) Find an interesting biology related topic from the paper or news.It can be controversal or just plain cool, Find at least one additional article from a journal or other crediable source that provides clarification or contributes to your understanding and them write a short blog on it. A good one will make your readers go "hmmmm... hadn't thought about it that way." and have a link or citation to your sources.
or
2nd (5 points) Respond to a blog piece with additional info, insight or keen observatiom "Whoa dude, that was awesome!" won't do it. Bonus points awarded for additional citations (10 points)

Amanda and I both tried posting answers for today's question on the Bio Blog and it said that you had to be logged in to post a comment. Did anyone else run into that problem, if not what should I do?

I ran into the same problem, i suppose you have to sign in somewhere, but i cant figure out where.

i think in order to post on the blog we also have to be writers and mr.f has to add us...idk tho.

Mr. F said to wait about a month for the Bio Blog page to work. He's still clearing it up with the heads of IT.
He said in class today that he has to enter our e-mail addresses individually as writers, and he doesn't want to do that if we can't use the blog in school (that was my interpretation, at least).
